From Regulation to Reality: Net Zero and the Built Environment
Thursday, March 31, 2022 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
The past two years have brought a wave of new laws and regulations affecting commercial real estate – including the passage of a nation-leading climate bill, a new net zero opt-in energy code, and aggressive decarbonization goals for new and existing projects. In addition, tenant demand is driving the market to create eco-conscious spaces. Through it all, NAIOP has represented the commercial real estate industry’s interests at both the state and local levels. In this environment, it is critical for the development community to understand the policies, trends and demands driving the future of the built environment in Massachusetts.
Join NAIOP for an overview of new and upcoming climate-related policies affecting CRE. Then, hear from design experts and developers about how projects are working to meet these requirements while balancing market realties.
