Commercial Leasing in a Post-Covid World

Wednesday, October 9, 2024 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Since Covid, recent court cases as well as new business practices have impacted negotiations of certain clauses in commercial leases. Landlords and tenants have inserted new language that has led to confusion on both sides. This course will provide clarity on what these changes mean for commercial leases.

The course will cover office, industrial and retail lease clauses including: Force Majeure, Tenant Access, Continuous Operations, Default and Accelerated Rent, HVAC, Hours of Operations, Rent Payment, Delivery of Space, Co-Tenancy, Percent Rent, Repairs and Maintenance, Holdover, Self-Help/Off-Set, Consequential Damages, Surrender/Yield-Up, and Options and Renewals.

This class is open to senior as well as up and coming commercial real estate practitioners.
