In September, NAIOP Massachusetts was pleased to serve as a partner in the Boston launch of Project Destined, a paid, 8-week Virtual Internship Program in Commercial Real Estate for diverse, undergraduate students from area universities. Interns work 4 to 6 hours per week at sponsor companies focusing on real estate training, participating in a bi-weekly Executive Speaker Series, and preparing materials for a “Shark Tank” style pitch competition where teams of interns present a real estate deal to industry leaders.

Through hard work and exposure to real-time deals, Project Destined provides students with a solid foundation for a career in commercial real estate. With each company that sponsors interns and with each student that graduates, Project Destined is transforming the industry to ensure a more diverse, equitable and inclusive future.
