NAIOP @ Noon: Nubian Square
Thursday, March 18, 2021 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
At the heart of Boston and home to the region’s busiest bus station, Nubian Square (formerly Dudley Square and renamed in 2019 after a long community effort) is a prime corridor for job creation, commerce, and transit-oriented development. Recognizing the need for a coordinated framework for future development projects, public realm improvements and capital investments in this important neighborhood, the BPDA launched PLAN: Nubian Square, a robust community engagement process focused on equity and inclusivity.
Join NAIOP to hear from a panel of experts who are actively engaged in this vibrant community. Following an overview of PLAN: Nubian Square, speakers will discuss proposed new development projects including a new Marriott hotel and the new Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, as well as the importance of community engagement and the role of vital institutions like the Roxbury Cultural District.
