City of Boston Stakeholder Session: Zero Net Carbon for New Buildings (Sold Out)

City of Boston Stakeholder Session: Zero Net Carbon for New Buildings (Sold Out)

Thursday, March 11, 2021 (9:00 AM - 10:30 AM) (EST)

Description

As part of the City of Boston’s commitment to Carbon Free by 2050, the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) has launched the stakeholder process for Zero Net Carbon for New Buildings this month. The City will be updating the existing green building zoning policy to include assessing and fully mitigating new building carbon emissions. BR+A and Thorton Tomasetti have been selected by the City as the consultants to run this initiative.

This members-only stakeholder session is an opportunity for the City to hear feedback directly from NAIOP members regarding the BPDA process and proposed pathways to compliance. The City has asked NAIOP to host this event in order to ensure our members’ experience in new commercial building construction is included in the process. Your input is critical to ensuring a fair, predictable and feasible zoning amendment. We ask that if you register for this event, you commit to reviewing the materials that will be sent ahead of the session and come prepared to give feedback and engage.

Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged!
