The Unlocking Housing Production Commission was created by Executive Order in late 2023 to advise the Healey-Driscoll administration on how state and local laws, regulations, and practices could be revised to increase the supply of housing across income levels and the state. Commission members included NAIOP CEO Tamara Small and several NAIOP members, as well as leaders from government, business, and community organizations.
After more than 12 months of intensive work, the Commission’s recommendations will be released in February. Join NAIOP to hear directly from Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll and Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities Ed Augustus as they delve into the recommendations included in the report and the specific legislative and regulatory changes needed to increase the supply of housing in Massachusetts.
They will also discuss the recently released Statewide Housing Plan, which will include statewide housing production goals and strategies on how housing can create economic mobility for all. Space is limited – early registration is encouraged.
