DATE CHANGE: This event has been moved to November 30th from 11:30 - 1:00 PM at Sullivan & Worcester.
Join NAIOP to hear from the Commonwealth’s first Secretary of Housing and Livable Communities, Ed Augustus. It’s an exciting opportunity to hear firsthand from the Secretary about the recently released $4 billion Housing Bond Bill – which represents the largest proposed housing investment in the Commonwealth’s history.
Appointed in May by Governor Healey, Secretary Augustus is charged with driving an ambitious, collaborative strategy to both increase housing production and lower housing costs across Massachusetts. In his first address to the statewide commercial real estate community, attendees will receive an overview of the Healey-Driscoll Administration’s priorities and strategies to address housing production; rehabilitation; preservation; affordability; and security, with a focus on fairness and equity. Then in a conversation moderated by NAIOP CEO Tamara Small, Secretary Augustus will answer the CRE industry’s most pressing questions about the housing crisis and the Administration’s plan to strike at the root causes of housing unaffordability.
Agenda:
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Lunch and Networking
12:00 - 1:00 PM: Program and Q&A
NOTE: For a refund to be issued, cancellations must be received by 5:00 pm on Monday, November 22. For questions, please contact Debbie Osheroff, osheroff@naiopma.org
